Wise Financial Choices

Few of us make as much money as we’d like. But even those who do have to live within their means.

Sometimes there’s not a lot we can do about the size of our paychecks, but what we do with that money is completely within our control. It’s a matter of planning well, and sticking to a tight budget.

The best time to start planning is before you have kids. This is when it’s easier to set aside small amounts for emergencies. And never use credit cards as a way to buy now and pay later. Only charge what you can pay off at the end of each month and you’re likely to stay out of trouble.

Also, don’t feel like you have to have the best of everything. Driving new cars is a luxury many families simply can’t afford, even if they can qualify for financing. Just because you can get a loan doesn’t mean you can afford the payments. Consider what really matters!
