Dining Room Romance

Romance is important in your marriage. But with kids in the house, planning a romantic dinner isn’t always easy.

Why not get the kids involved in helping you create a special evening alone with your spouse? They’ll love the excitement and might even come up with some ideas of their own.

You can start by telling them that the evening is going to be a surprise. Then ask them to help make homemade decorations. Older kids can help cook or make a special dessert. And even the young ones can pitch in by cleaning their rooms and getting all their toys out of the way.

When everything is ready, set up a table for them in the playroom while you and your spouse have a candlelit dinner alone. Not only will it give you some quality time, but it’s setting a great example of romance in marriage for your kids.
