4 Steps to a Better Life

There’s no easy road to being a better person. But there are simple things you can do to live a better life. Here are four steps to get you started.

First, avoid gossip at every opportunity. When those around you talk behind someone’s back, simply smile and change the subject. You don’t have to confront them—they’ll get the message sooner or later.

Second, learn to let go of anger and bitterness. Never allow yourself to be held hostage by the words and actions of others.

Third, live for people, not stuff. A wise person once said, “Never love anything that can’t love you back.”

Fourth, be generous—with your time and your possessions. It really is better to give than to receive. If you haven’t learned that, you just haven’t given enough.
